Named as the swimming Pool of the Pacific Ocean, is considered as one of the best beaches of Peru. It is surrounded by beautiful beaches of the turquoise colours and almost deserted.
The city of Huarmey is a village of fishermen and farmers, known as “The city of the cordiality”. His name, they say, comes from the quechua word Warmi (woman), as the area was inhabited by many women, though others say that it is due to the fact that their land lies buried one of the daughters of the inca Pachacutec.
Its Construction was entirely of bricks for the lordship Chimu, during his last period. It is a building of three levels, it is mentioned that the venues above are constructs made by the Incas. There are still some vestiges of the paintings that adorned the whole of the fortress, it was fully decorated with a coated very beautiful on the outside, which gave it a tone of royalty.

Día 1 / Cusco – Ocongate Tinki-Upis.
  • Transporte privado desde la ciudad Cusco. El camino se dirige hacia la region de Puno, pasando por las ruinas de Pikillacta y los pueblos coloniales de Andahuaylillas y Huaro (podemos pasar algún tiempo visitándolos), luego un camino comienza a serpentear cuesta arriba hasta llegar a pequeños pueblos con pastores y tejedores en la puna del altiplano. Por la tarde visializaremos, la cordillera del Vilcanota se asoma en la distancia con las montañas Ausangate y ColqeCruz dominando el paisaje.
  • El sendero comienza a cruzar la puna o pradera de la sierra acercándose a la base del impresionante Ausangate con vistas impresionantes del paisaje ondulado. Continuando la caminata, el sendero nos lleva a través de los pueblos andinos aún tradicionales en muchas de sus costumbres y hábitos. Campamento en Upis con la posibilidad de disfrutar de los baños termales.
